- Theme:Filmmaker and yachtsman Tom Woods with foreign correspondent and author Edward Girardet are embarking on a three year, multimedia sailing expedition to chronicle the endangered cultural and environmental riches of the Mediterranean. WIKI, a 103-year-old wooden ketch will be “sailing with a purpose” to empower and mentor young people producing informative, entertaining stories for a global audience on the threats and opportunities currently facing the “Med”. After 40 years of reporting together in conflict zones both on land and by sea, Woods and Girardet are urgently calling for a collective commitment from the yachting community, to Help Save The Med and the world’s oceans.
